Valencia oranges
Juice-box fruit origin
Valencia oranges are a variety of orange prized for juicing, named after the city in Spain though developed in California.
They ripen in late spring and summer, making them the main fresh orange available when navel oranges are out of season.
Their thin skin and few seeds make them ideal for juice production: Fresh-squeezed Valencia orange juice.
