Tweedledum and Tweedledee
Interchangeable duo, proverbially
Tweedledum and Tweedledee are two people or things so alike as to be virtually indistinguishable, especially when the similarity seems absurd or trivial.
The phrase often dismisses a supposed choice as no real choice at all: Voting for either candidate is choosing between Tweedledum and Tweedledee.
From the identical twins in Lewis Carroll's *Through the Looking-Glass*, though the names predate him.
