Tjukurpa

Tjukurpa is the Anangu (Central Australian Aboriginal) term for the complex of law, knowledge, religion, and moral system that governs traditional life.

It encompasses the Dreamtime—the eternal era when ancestral beings created the land, people, and sacred sites—but extends beyond mythology to include proper behavior, kinship obligations, and custodianship of the land.

The word has no precise English equivalent: Tjukurpa teaches us how to live.
