Texas Capitol
Lone Star statehouse
The Texas Capitol is the statehouse in Austin that serves as the seat of Texas state government, housing the legislature and governor's office.
Built of distinctive pink granite in 1888, it's notably taller than the U.S.
Capitol in Washington—a point of Texas pride.
We toured the Texas Capitol during our trip to Austin.
