Sunday supper
Week's final dinner
Sunday supper is the main meal eaten on Sunday, typically in the late afternoon or early evening, often shared with extended family.
In American tradition, it carries connotations of home cooking, togetherness, and a slower pace than weekday meals: Grandma always made fried chicken for Sunday supper.
The term is more common in Southern and rural speech; elsewhere, Sunday dinner covers similar ground.
