Protestant communities
Non-Catholic Christian groups
Protestant communities are groups of Christians belonging to traditions that emerged from the sixteenth-century Reformation, when reformers broke from the Roman Catholic Church.
These include Lutherans, Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, Anglicans, and many others.
The term often refers to congregations, neighborhoods, or regions where Protestants predominate: Protestant communities in Northern Ireland, the Protestant communities of the American South.
