Monty Hall
Monty Hall was a Canadian-American television host best known for the game show *Let's Make a Deal*, which he hosted from 1963 to 1986.
His name lives on in the Monty Hall problem, a probability puzzle based on the show's format: a contestant chooses one of three doors, the host reveals a losing door, and the contestant must decide whether to switch.
Counterintuitively, switching doubles the odds of winning.
