A Mao suit is a style of men's jacket with a high, stiff collar and four symmetrical pockets, associated with the uniform worn by Mao Zedong and Chinese Communist officials.
The style became standard dress in revolutionary China, symbolizing egalitarian ideology and rejection of Western fashion.
