Luxembourg Garden
Paris's famous park
Luxembourg Garden is a large public park in Paris, located on the Left Bank near the Latin Quarter.
The formal French gardens surround the Luxembourg Palace, originally built for Marie de Medici in the 17th century.
Parisians and visitors stroll its tree-lined paths, sit by its central fountain, and rent toy sailboats for children to push across the water: We spent the afternoon reading in the Luxembourg Garden.
