Irma
Hurricane of 2017
Irma is a female given name of German origin, once popular in the early twentieth century but now relatively uncommon.
It gained renewed attention as the name of a devastating Category 5 Atlantic hurricane in 2017 that caused catastrophic damage across the Caribbean and Florida.
My great-aunt Irma still sends birthday cards every year.
