Hyrule
Link's home realm
Hyrule is the fictional kingdom where most Legend of Zelda video games take place—a fantasy realm of forests, mountains, and ancient ruins ruled by Princess Zelda and perpetually threatened by the demon king Ganon.
The name has become shorthand for the series itself: I spent my childhood exploring Hyrule.
In gaming culture, Hyrule evokes nostalgic adventure and epic quests.
