Devil May Cry
Dante's demon-slaying series
Devil May Cry is a video game franchise featuring stylish, fast-paced combat against demons.
The title captures the series' tone—a devil (the half-demon protagonist Dante) who faces apocalyptic threats with irreverent swagger.
The phrase itself suggests reckless indifference to consequences: He charged in with a devil-may-cry attitude.
