Deal or No Deal
Banker's telephone offer
Deal or No Deal is a television game show format where contestants choose among sealed cases containing hidden cash values, then decide whether to accept a banker's buyout offer or continue eliminating cases in hopes of holding the grand prize.
The phrase has become shorthand for any take-it-or-leave-it negotiation: They made me an offer—deal or no deal?
