Castile soap

Mediterranean oil soap

Castile soap is a mild, vegetable-based soap traditionally made from olive oil, originating in the Castile region of Spain.

Unlike soaps made with animal fats, it produces a gentle lather suitable for sensitive skin.

Modern versions may incorporate other plant oils like coconut or hemp while maintaining the pure, additive-free character.

I use Castile soap for everything from washing dishes to shampooing the dog.
