Candlestick Park

Windy Giants venue

Candlestick Park was a stadium in San Francisco, home to the Giants (baseball) and 49ers (football) from 1960 until their departures in 1999 and 2013.

Known for brutal wind and cold, it became shorthand for miserable playing conditions: It was like Candlestick out there.

The Beatles played their final concert there in 1966.

Demolished in 2015.
