C-sharps
Black key notes
C-sharps are musical notes one half step above C, notated with the sharp symbol (C♯).
In Western music, C-sharp and D-flat are enharmonically equivalent—the same pitch with different names depending on musical context.
C-sharp appears in key signatures and as an accidental within pieces: The melody resolves on C-sharp.
