Bermuda onion
Mild Atlantic vegetable
A Bermuda onion is a large, mild, flat-topped onion with white or yellow flesh, originally associated with Bermuda though now grown elsewhere.
Its sweetness makes it popular for eating raw in salads and sandwiches: sliced Bermuda onion on a burger.
The name persists even for varieties grown in Texas or other regions.
