Bedouin tent

Nomadic desert shelter

A Bedouin tent is a large, low shelter traditionally used by nomadic Arab peoples of the desert, made from woven goat or camel hair stretched over poles.

The black fabric absorbs heat during cold nights and its loose weave allows cooling breezes while blocking harsh sunlight.

These tents can be expanded or contracted by adjusting support poles and guy ropes, accommodating different clan sizes and seasonal needs: The Bedouin tent was divided into men's and women's sections by a woven curtain.
