BBs

Tiny metal spheres

BBs are small metal or plastic balls used as projectiles in air guns and pellet guns.

The term comes from the shot size designation in the ammunition industry.

BB guns are common first firearms for children and teenagers: We spent the afternoon shooting BBs at tin cans.

BBs also appear in airsoft guns for recreational combat games.
