All-Star selection
Top player chosen
All-Star selection refers to being chosen for an all-star team—a roster of the best players from a league or competition, assembled for exhibition games or special recognition.
In professional sports, All-Star selections are annual honors based on voting, statistics, or coaches' choices: He earned his fifth All-Star selection this season.
The term often functions as a career credential: a three-time All-Star selection.
