5W-20
Common engine oil
5W-20 is a grade of motor oil indicating its viscosity characteristics.
The 5W means it flows well in cold weather (the W stands for winter), while 20 indicates its thickness at operating temperature.
It's a relatively thin oil that improves fuel efficiency and is commonly specified for modern passenger vehicles: Check your owner's manual—most newer cars take 5W-20.
