zoo volunteers
Unpaid wildlife assistants
Zoo volunteers are unpaid helpers who assist with various tasks at a zoo, from educating visitors and leading tours to supporting animal care and maintenance.
The role typically requires training and regular commitment: The zoo volunteers helped children identify different species at the reptile exhibit.
Many zoos rely heavily on volunteer programs to supplement paid staff.
