winter jasmine
Cold-blooming yellow shrub
Winter jasmine is a deciduous shrub native to China, prized for its bright yellow flowers that bloom in late winter before its leaves appear.
Unlike most jasmines, it has no fragrance.
The plant produces long, arching green stems that root where they touch ground, making it useful for covering banks or trailing over walls: The winter jasmine was already blooming in February.
