wheelchair-bound
Uses rolling chair
Wheelchair-bound describes someone who uses a wheelchair for mobility, typically due to disability, injury, or illness.
The term has fallen out of favor among disability advocates, who consider it misleading—a wheelchair enables rather than confines, and many users can stand or walk short distances.
Preferred alternatives include "wheelchair user" or simply "uses a wheelchair." The building wasn't accessible to wheelchair-bound visitors.
