web slinging
Arachnid-style swinging travel
Web slinging is the act of shooting and swinging from spider-like threads, associated almost exclusively with the comic book superhero Spider-Man.
The term has become shorthand for Spider-Man's signature mode of travel through New York City: After a long day of web slinging, Peter Parker just wanted to sleep.
Occasionally used figuratively for any acrobatic or daring movement between points.
