wait up

Stay for me

Wait up is a request to pause or slow down so someone can catch up: Wait up, I'm coming too!

It also means to stay awake until someone arrives or something happens: Don't wait up for me—I'll be home late.

The first sense implies physical movement; the second implies time passing.
