visual humor
Comedy you watch
Visual humor is comedy that works through images rather than words—sight gags, physical comedy, funny faces, or absurd visual juxtapositions.
Slapstick pratfalls, a pie in the face, or an unexpectedly placed object all qualify.
The term often distinguishes comedy that translates across languages from humor dependent on wordplay: The film relies on visual humor that works without subtitles.
