unstaining
Not leaving marks
Unstaining describes something that doesn't leave stains or marks: an unstaining formula for hair dye, unstaining ink that washes out easily.
The word also means removing stains—the opposite of staining: unstaining the carpet proved impossible.
In figurative use, unstaining can mean clearing a reputation or restoring honor: unstaining his family name after the scandal.
