unseverable

Impossible to cut

Unseverable describes something that cannot be cut apart or separated.

In legal contexts, unseverable clauses in a contract are so interdependent that if one fails, all fail—they cannot be divided and enforced separately: The court found the provisions unseverable, voiding the entire agreement.

Outside law, the word applies to bonds or connections too fundamental to break.
