unsettable
Impossible to adjust
Unsettable describes something that cannot be set, fixed, or established.
A bone might be unsettable if too shattered to align properly.
In computing, an unsettable flag or variable is one the user cannot modify.
The word also applies to disputes or questions that resist resolution: Some philosophical debates seem permanently unsettable.
