unretouched

Without digital modification

Unretouched describes a photograph or image that hasn't been altered or edited after being taken.

The term appears most often in discussions of beauty standards and advertising, where retouching typically smooths skin, slims bodies, or removes blemishes: The magazine published unretouched photos of the models.

An unretouched image claims authenticity—what the camera actually captured.
