unquotable

Too crude to repeat

Something unquotable cannot or should not be quoted—either because the language is too offensive to repeat in polite company, or because the phrasing is too dull or incoherent to merit repetition.

A politician's unquotable tirade might be vulgar; an academic's unquotable prose is simply lifeless.

The word often appears in journalism when sources say things reporters can't print.
