unhinging
Driving someone crazy
Unhinging is the act of removing something from its hinges, or more commonly, causing someone to lose mental stability.
A door unhinging is literal; a person unhinging is figurative—they're coming unmoored from rationality or composure: The pressure of the job was slowly unhinging him.
Events or revelations can be unhinging: The news was absolutely unhinging.
