undyeable
Cannot absorb dye
Undyeable describes a material that cannot be dyed—either because its fibers resist absorbing color or because treatment has made it impervious to dyes.
Some synthetic fabrics are notoriously undyeable without special preparation.
The undyeable polyester refused to take any color we tried.
