transportation access
Getting around options
Transportation access is the ability to reach and use transit systems, vehicles, or routes.
The term appears in policy discussions about whether communities can get to jobs, healthcare, and services: Many rural areas lack adequate transportation access.
It also refers to physical accessibility—ramps, elevators, and accommodations that allow people with disabilities to use transit: The new subway station improved transportation access for wheelchair users.
