touch-typing
Eyes-free keyboard skill
Touch-typing is typing without looking at the keyboard, using muscle memory to locate keys.
Each finger has assigned keys, with the index fingers resting on F and J (marked with small bumps on most keyboards).
The method allows faster typing than hunt-and-peck: She learned touch-typing in high school and now types 80 words per minute.
