toga parties
Sheet-wrapped college gatherings
A toga party is a costume party where guests wear togas—bedsheets or fabric draped in imitation of ancient Roman garb.
The concept became iconic through the 1978 film *Animal House* and remains associated with American college fraternities and sororities.
The appeal lies in easy costumes and classical decadence: The frat is throwing a toga party this weekend.
