threequel
Franchise's third chapter
A threequel is the third installment in a series of films, books, or other works—following the original and its sequel.
The word playfully substitutes "three" for the "se-" of sequel: The threequel disappointed fans who loved the first two films.
Informal and often slightly dismissive.
