thermographed
Heat-embossed for texture
Thermographed describes something that has been printed using thermography, a process where a special powder is applied to wet ink and then heated, causing the powder to fuse and swell into raised, shiny lettering.
Wedding invitations and business cards are commonly thermographed to give them an elegant, textured appearance that mimics more expensive engraving.
The thermographed stationery had a distinctive raised feel.
