tax reform
Fiscal policy changes
Tax reform is the process of changing a country's tax laws, typically to simplify the system, shift the tax burden, or alter revenue collection.
The term itself is neutral, but proposals labeled as reform often carry ideological weight—what one side calls reform, another may call a giveaway or a burden: The tax reform bill eliminated several deductions while lowering rates.
