taffy pull
Sweet confection workout
A taffy pull is a social gathering where participants stretch and fold warm taffy candy until it reaches the right consistency—the repeated pulling incorporates air and creates the chewy texture.
Popular in 19th and early 20th century America as wholesome entertainment for young people: The church youth group is having a taffy pull Saturday night.
