swizzling
Rotating a stick
Swizzling has two distinct meanings.
In bartending, to swizzle is to mix a drink by rapidly spinning a forked stick (a swizzle stick) between the palms: She swizzled the mojito until it frosted.
In programming, swizzling refers to manipulating pointers or method implementations at runtime—replacing one thing with another behind the scenes.
Both senses involve a kind of rapid substitution or transformation.
