super-sized

Beyond merely large

Super-sized means made much larger than standard, especially referring to fast-food portions: I super-sized my meal for an extra dollar.

The term gained currency from McDonald's marketing in the 1990s before becoming generic for anything enlarged beyond normal proportions: a super-sized ego, super-sized ambitions.

Often hyphenated as an adjective, one word as a verb.
