straight woman
Setup for jokes
A straight woman is a woman who is sexually attracted to men rather than women—heterosexual.
The term parallels "gay man" and "lesbian" in specifying both sexual orientation and gender: As a straight woman, I don't have much insight into the lesbian dating scene.
In comedy, "straight woman" can also mean the serious partner in a comedic duo who sets up jokes for the funny one.
