step-grandparent
Remarried elder relative
A step-grandparent is the spouse of one's biological grandparent who is not oneself a biological grandparent—typically someone a grandparent married later in life.
The relationship may be close or distant depending on when the marriage occurred and how much contact exists: My step-grandmother came into our lives when I was already a teenager.
