stand-up specials
Recorded comedy performances
Stand-up specials are recorded performances of a comedian's live act, typically released as film or television productions.
The format usually features one comedian performing a polished, hour-long set before an audience: Her Netflix stand-up special dropped last week.
These recordings often represent a comedian's best material, refined through months of touring, and serve as career milestones that establish or cement reputations.
