stableness

Quality of firmness

Stableness is the quality of being stable—steady, secure, not easily moved or changed.

The word exists but is rarely used; stability serves the same purpose and sounds more natural in almost every context: the stability of the economy, emotional stability.

Stableness appears occasionally in technical or philosophical writing where the suffix -ness is preferred for stylistic reasons.
