Tiny agricultural plot

A smallholding is a piece of agricultural land smaller than a typical farm, often worked by one family for subsistence or modest commercial production.

The term is chiefly British: They kept chickens and grew vegetables on their smallholding.

The owner or operator is a smallholder.
