sleep-eating
Eating while asleep
Sleep-eating is eating while asleep or in a semiconscious state, typically with no memory of doing so afterward.
It often occurs as a side effect of certain sleep medications or as a sleep disorder in its own right.
People discover evidence the next morning—empty wrappers, missing food, a mess in the kitchen: The Ambien caused sleep-eating episodes she only learned about from her roommate.
