sleep-drunk
Dazed from waking
Sleep-drunk describes the groggy, disoriented state upon waking—especially from deep sleep or a nap—when the mind hasn't fully engaged.
You stumble, slur words, and struggle to process what's happening: I was so sleep-drunk I answered the remote instead of my phone.
The formal term is sleep inertia.
